Description
The TERA Burned Collection is a bold expression of craftsmanship, tradition, and modern performance. Crafted from premium American Oak, each plank is treated using a Shou Sugi Ban–inspired burning technique, a traditional Japanese wood preservation method that carefully chars the surface of the wood. This process creates a protective carbonized layer that enhances resistance to rot, insects, and fire, while delivering a striking, textured finish rich with depth and character. The result is a floor that feels both ancient and contemporary—visually dramatic, tactile, and unmistakably refined.
Built on TERA’s E3Plank engineered platform, the Burned Collection pairs artistry with advanced engineering. Each plank features a 3/4” total thickness with a 4mm solid-sawn wear layer, supported by a balanced 3-ply construction and a proprietary two-directional core center. This design delivers exceptional dimensional stability, minimizing expansion and contraction caused by changes in temperature and humidity, and making it suitable for a wide range of residential and commercial environments.
Extra-long plank lengths up to 10 feet, a standard across the entire TERA line and longer than most hardwood options available on the market today. The Burned Collection allows designers and homeowners to tailor the floor to their space, whether creating a clean modern interior or a warm, atmospheric setting. The natural grain of American oak remains visible beneath the burned surface, creating a layered, organic aesthetic that evolves beautifully over time.
With the TERA Burned Collection, you’re choosing more than a floor—you’re choosing a material story rooted in tradition, elevated by innovation, and crafted to perform. It’s a flooring solution that embodies durability, sustainability, and unmistakable design, created to anchor spaces with authenticity and lasting impact.
